Discription: How to bring children from different cultures together in a creative way? Our world is in turmoil. Wars, poverty and religious oppression have forced nearly sixty million people to leave everything behind for a chance at a better life. At least one third of them are children. Every day some of them reach the Netherlands, looking for a safety, a future and new home. Settling in and integrating into Dutch society is no easy task when linguistic, mental and other barriers keep us apart. The TooDooBox helps to remove these barriers and brings children from different cultures and backgrounds together. The TooDooBox contains lots of materials and tools that allow to build anything they could imagine. A special visual language helps children communicate, laugh, learn and play together. And when children start playing and creating, the final outcome is always a beautiful surprise!
Hieronder is in het filmpje uitgelegd hoe de TooDooBox werkt. Ik heb het op verschillende scholen getest, en de kinderen en de leraren waren enthousiast. Eigenlijk zou elke klas zo’n box moeten hebben. Voor mijn scriptie en uitvoering had ik allebei een 9!
Dutch Design Week 2016
Ik was gevraagd om tijdens de DDW16 in Eindhoven te staan met nog een aantal afgestudeerden als de ‘Best Of’ van de Willem de Kooning Academie. Het was een mooie kans om met ons werk te mogen exposeren en ik heb zeker genoten.
